Ranbir Kapoor’s Vaastu Rent Deal Has Put His Pali Hill Home Back In The Buzz

Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly rented out his former Vaastu apartment in Mumbai’s Pali Hill for Rs 11 lakh a month, and the five-year deal has put one of Bollywood’s most talked-about homes back in the spotlight.

Ranbir Kapoor’s former Vaastu apartment is back in the Bollywood conversation, this time because of a reported rental deal that sounds exactly like the kind of star-home update the internet loves to discuss.

Moneycontrol reported on May 21 that Ranbir has leased out his previous Pali Hill apartment in Bandra West for Rs 11 lakh per month. Hindustan Times also reported the update the same day, making this one of the fresher Bollywood property buzz stories doing the rounds today.

What is reported about the Vaastu rent deal?

According to the report, the apartment has been rented out for five years. The monthly rent is Rs 11 lakh, and the agreement includes a Rs 45 lakh security deposit. Moneycontrol cited documents accessed by Zapkey and said the leave-and-license agreement was registered on May 19, 2026.

The apartment is said to be on the seventh floor of the Vaastu building and spread across 2,460 sq ft. The report also says Ranbir bought the luxury home in 2016 for Rs 35 crore, and that the apartment was designed by Gauri Khan. That detail is one reason the home has always carried a little extra celebrity value.

Why this home still gets attention

Vaastu is not just another luxury flat in a star-heavy Mumbai neighbourhood. It has been tied to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s public life for years, which is why even a rental update can become entertainment news. Celebrity homes often turn into mini landmarks in Bollywood culture, especially when fans connect them with wedding photos, family moments, and major life phases.

That is the real reason this update has travelled beyond a normal real-estate note. A rent figure is one thing. A rent figure attached to a famous Bollywood home is something else. It gives fans a small peek into the business side of star life, without needing any scandal or over-the-top drama.

The Krishna Raj connection

The timing also lands because Ranbir and Alia have already moved into the renovated Krishna Raj bungalow, the Kapoor family’s ancestral home in Mumbai. Moneycontrol noted that the bungalow is reportedly valued at around Rs 250 crore and is often spoken about alongside iconic star residences like Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa.

For readers who follow Bollywood image-making, that shift matters. Vaastu now reads like a previous chapter, while Krishna Raj is the larger family legacy home. The rental deal quietly underlines that transition.

Our take

This is not messy gossip, and it does not need to be. The story works because it sits in that sweet spot where Bollywood lifestyle, real estate, and fan curiosity meet. Ranbir Kapoor’s Vaastu apartment has enough history around it to make the reported Rs 11 lakh monthly rent feel like more than just a number.

If you track Bollywood homes, this is a neat little update: one famous address moves from personal milestone to premium rental property, while Ranbir and Alia’s newer family-home chapter keeps getting bigger. For more star-led buzz, read our piece on Alia Bhatt’s Cannes 2026 return.
