Barreda is a fictionalised drama inspired by the case of Ricardo Barreda, the Argentine dentist convicted of killing his wife, his mother-in-law and his two daughters in La Plata in 1992. The case became a national media event, and the killer’s attempt to present himself as a victim helped shape years of public discussion.
