Natalie Madueño as Louise Andersen and Helene Söderberg

Natalie Madueño carries the film’s double-identity puzzle. Louise believes she has built a quiet life on Hidra, where she runs a café and lives with Joachim. A stranger then insists that she is Helene Söderberg, a woman who disappeared from Denmark three years earlier.

The role places Madueño on both sides of the mystery. Louise must investigate the person she may have been while deciding whether the husband, child and wealthy family attached to Helene are truly hers. Madueño will be familiar to Netflix viewers from The Rain and to Nordic-crime fans from Darkness: Those Who Kill.

Pål Sverre Hagen as Joachim

Pål Sverre Hagen plays Joachim, Louise’s partner in Norway. He belongs to the stable life she understands at the beginning of the film, making him the emotional counterweight to the missing past that pulls her toward Denmark.

Hagen has previously appeared in Netflix titles including Let Go and War Sailor. Here, his character represents the relationship Louise risks losing when she follows the Helene mystery.

Claes Bang as Edmund

Claes Bang plays Edmund, one of the key figures connected to Helene’s Danish life and the shipping empire Louise discovers. The role places him close to the central question of what happened before Helene vanished.

Bang is known for The Square and Netflix’s Dracula. His casting gives the mystery a recognisable Nordic lead opposite Madueño.

Stina Ekblad as Caroline

Stina Ekblad appears as Caroline. Netflix’s first-look material places Caroline within the Danish family group around Edmund and a young boy named Alexander, linking her to the home and relationships Louise is trying to understand.

Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Rasmus Hammerich and Thea Sofie Loch Næss

Ingrid Bolsø Berdal plays Iben Rask, Rasmus Hammerich appears as K.K. Møller, and Thea Sofie Loch Næss plays Maria. Their exact place in the film’s twists is being kept light, which suits a story built around missing memories and concealed relationships.

Which cast roles are still under wraps?

Lars Simonsen is part of Netflix’s principal cast list, but his character name has not been announced. The wider ensemble also includes Thomas Voss. Keeping those entries without guessed character names is the clearest way to avoid spoiling or misidentifying roles before the film arrives.

Who made The Secret Woman?

Barbara Topsøe-Rothenborg directs the film and co-wrote it with Anders August. Marcella Dichmann is the producer, while Lars Bjørn-Hansen and Anders Rønnow Klarlund serve as executive producers. SF Studios produced the adaptation of Anna Ekberg’s novel.
