The Crew Girl cast is arranged around a boat where Teagan Tao calls the rhythm, while Josh, Cam and Ryder bring different pressures to the fight for the stroke seat. Miku Martineau leads the Netflix teen drama as Teagan, with Sam Braun and Kyle Clark playing the rival rowers at the centre of her new team and its love triangle.
Miku Martineau as Teagan Tao
Teagan is a gifted 16-year-old single-sculls rower whose sporting future is overturned by a family scandal. After moving east with her mother, she arrives at Easton Prep and discovers that the school does not have a girls’ rowing team. Her route back onto the water is to become coxswain of the boys’ varsity crew.
That job makes Teagan more than the new girl in the boat. A coxswain sets strategy and directs the crew, so she has to earn the trust of rowers who initially resist her leadership. Netflix’s official overview also places her between Josh and Cam, turning the team’s fight for rhythm into a romantic and social conflict.

Sam Braun as Josh Regis
Josh is Easton’s crew captain and the current stroke-seat rower, the person whose pace the rest of the boat follows. He comes from the Regis family, whose money and history are tied to the school and its boathouse. That makes his place in the boat a measure of family standing as well as athletic performance.
Josh initially looks like the protected golden boy, but the pressure around him runs deeper. In Teen Vogue’s cast and showrunner preview, Braun describes a character carrying expectations and a secret, while Teagan’s arrival pushes him to change. She can challenge him directly, which gives their connection a sharper edge than a simple captain-newcomer rivalry.
Kyle Clark as Cam Dillinger
Cam is the hard-working outsider on a rowing scholarship. He sees Easton and the sport as routes toward an education, an Olympic ambition and a better future for his family. He wants the stroke seat, but he does not have the same institutional backing as Josh.
That difference gives the central rivalry its class divide. Cam and Teagan recognise something familiar in each other’s outsider status and commitment to rowing, while Cam’s frustration with the team fuels his challenge to Josh. The triangle is therefore tied to who belongs at Easton and who gets to set the boat’s pace, not only to romance.
Jessica Paré as Ella Tao and Thomas Cadrot as Coach Hayden
Ella is Teagan’s mother and the person rebuilding life alongside her after the scandal. Their move takes Ella back to Eagle’s Cove, the town she left years earlier, and forces mother and daughter to renegotiate a relationship shaped by uncertainty around Teagan’s father.
Coach Matt Hayden is the adult who spots Teagan’s ability and gives her the chance to command the boys’ crew. He also shares history with Ella, opening an adult relationship thread that mirrors the younger cast’s collision of old loyalties and new starts.
Ryder Regis and the fight for the stroke seat
Connor Paton plays Ryder Regis, Josh’s cousin and another rower caught in the family’s competitive hierarchy. Ryder has lived in Josh’s shadow, but Teagan’s arrival encourages him to compete for the stroke seat. The cousins are not just fighting for position in the boat: success is linked to approval and status inside the Regis family.
That turns one team decision into a three-way pressure point. Josh is defending the role, Cam believes his work deserves it, and Ryder sees it as a chance to step out of his cousin’s shadow. Teagan must lead all three while their competition tests the crew’s rhythm and trust.
Who else is in the Crew Girl cast?
The official Netflix Tudum cast list maps Jude Wilson to Bronson “Baloo” Garner, Vincent Muller to Damon Quaid, Riley Davis to Noah Bainbridge, Connor Wong to Perry Chou, Jarrett Carlington to Chris “Crab Catcher” Padmore and Niall Matter to Richard Regis.
- Baloo Garner: Britney Garner’s “twibling” and a member of the varsity crew.
- Damon Quaid: the team’s troublemaker.
- Noah Bainbridge: the more strait-laced presence in the boat.
- Perry Chou: stylish off the water but still searching for rhythm in it.
- Chris Padmore: a junior known by the nickname “Crab Catcher.”
Sage Linder appears in Netflix’s wider cast billing and is identified by Teen Vogue as Britney Garner, Josh’s girlfriend and Baloo’s sibling. Netflix also bills Olga Petsa, while secondary sources identify her as Juliet Morny. Because Netflix’s own cast guide does not currently confirm that character mapping, Juliet is not included in the principal table above.
How the Crew Girl ensemble fits together
The ensemble is structured so the show’s romantic, family and sporting disputes all meet in the same boat. Teagan needs the boys to accept her calls. Josh, Cam and Ryder each attach a different kind of ambition to the stroke seat. Ella and Hayden carry a history outside school, while the Regis family turns rowing results into social currency.
